Book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty     Music by Stephen Flaherty
Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens Co-Conceived by Eric Idle
Based on the works of Dr. Seuss
"The story centers around Horton the Elephant, who finds himself faced with a double challenge--not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo (and all the invisible Whos) from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him, the only one who recognizes "his kind and his powerful heart." Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant, in a story that makes you laugh and cry."

Thanks for joining us at Bastone's Restaurant!
We had a FULL HOUSE for our Summer Fundraiser, and would like to thank everyone who attended, entertained, and donated items to the silent auction!

Special Thanks to Lou Bastone and his staff for making the night possible with great food (the surprise stone-baked pizza samples were a nice touch!) and friendly service.

Any special event requires much teamwork and organization, so many thanks to the entire QP Executive Board for their efforts in organizing everything from Silent Auction Donations to selling tickets to this fantastic event!

We hope to see everyone and their friends at our Fall and Winter Fundraisers!

Straight from the President's Desk...

The journey of putting on a production is one of community spirit; as we continue to encourage support for the Arts in York Region. We assemble an energetic team of volunteers to present our shows each season.

We are proud to have such talented individuals working with us on each project! For over three months, the directing team, cast and crew work very hard to ensure that our most valuable supporters (YOU, the audience!) will carry with you a piece of the show. It could be a visual imprint of the set and costumes, a song that remains in your memory, a connection with a character, or it could be that you carry the torch and pass on the good word about the Queensville Players, and the value of Community Theatre!

One thing we can confirm is that Community Theatre provides a one-stop medium for many artistic collaborations. They range from the set to the art of acting, from costumes to the art of lighting them properly, from the art of dancing and music to the technical support of sound reinforcement. Very few jobs can touch such a wide variety of interests! Our mission is to bring our community the stories that inspire, the songs that will move you, and produce the creator's artistic work with enthusiasm and artistic integrity. We hope you enjoy our shows and that you continue your appreciated support of the Queensville Players.
